Last night saw the very first David Gemmell Legend Award for fantasy writing, created to celebrate and remember the work of the late and still much missed David Gemmell. The overall winner was Andrzej Sapkowski, the author of Blood of Elves. Over on the My Favourite Books blog Liz de Jager has more on the evening’s shindigs and photos of everyone who turned up in their gladrags for a special occassion, hopefully the first of many such annual events.
