Art and animation

I like this short video by C. Coy with Milton Glaser creating a sketch of Will Shakespeare while discussing how the act of drawing shapes his interpretation of the world: “I’m convinced that it is only through drawing that I look at things carefully”. I suspect that’s true of many artists in many media, I know indulging in more photography has made me much more aware of the world around me and makes me look at it differently. Then again even just the act of reading a good book or comic or regarding a piece of art can help do that too; that’s why we love art, it does something to the head and the wiring between the brain and the outside world.
