Golden Age Comic Book Stories has the sad news of the death of Ellie Frazetta, not only wife to comics, painter and illustration legend Frank Frazetta, but also his frequent model, muse and an important part not only of his personal life but his career as one of the great illustrators of comics and fantasy. One of the comments on the post talks about a recent visit to the Frazetta home and museum and how welcoming Frank was to them despite his awful loss. From what I read it was over a week ago but somehow I missed hearing about it until now. (via BoingBoing)

Oh my gosh! How Sad! I imagine she meant the world to him! R.I.P. and our deepest sympathy to Frank and His family! Thanks for the info. This is the first I heard of it too.

My deepest heart felt sympathy to a MAN who inspired, not just Myself, but a great many others to become artist…Painters & Illustrators especially. People who are Passionate of their craft and wish nothing better than to pass it on to the masses. Once again, My deepest condolences to Mr Frazetta and his Family.
