Matt Miller Neil Gaimans Endless family portrait small.jpg

Neil Gaiman described Matt Miller‘s ‘live action’ image as the “best Endless family photograph I’ve seen in forever”. As a self confessed Sandmanaholic who still has the Mike Dringenberg Endless poster on my wall to this day (the one with all the family and a pile of cats) I’d have to agree; I think the woman portraying Dream’s younger sister Despair especially has the just the right pissed off expression while oldest sister Death has exactly the right perky, happy look I associate with her comics counterpart – Destruction’s hobo’s bundle is a nice touch too. Awesome. I love Delirium.

the picture is a fine representation of them all…however, Despair is the key…her pose, the shadowing, the look of emptiness on a face that is obscured…beautiful.
