Young, talented and Sweden bound ……

(Greenfield, Sherett, Lunney, Ellerby and Cadwell working hard and selling their fine comics. Or maybe just hanging around looking young.)

Marc Ellerby, Anna, Lizz Lunney, Adam Cadwell, Matt Sherett and Liz Greenfield headed over to Sweden recently for the SSPX09 Comics Festival. They had comics to sell and a sampler to give away. Hi-jinks ensued… and it’s all captured on 100+ photos on Adam Cadwell’s Flickrstream.

The Samlat sampler that Marc, Adam and Lizz collaborated on went down well with most people – but not all:

Thanks for the plug, Richard. The Swedish SPX was a great show, there’s a real buzz about the small press scene there and the level of quality is staggering. Plus there were plenty of books launched that weekend from Top Shelf and Swedish Publisher Galago that looked amazing, including the clever ‘Second Thoughts’ which you reviewed here not long ago. And lots of book launch parties to choose from.

Next year’s show has a British Comics theme oddly enough, so I’m pretty sure we’ll all be returning then. We probably won’t do the free comic again though.
