(some of the Nostalgia & Comics crew let their inner geek out for air during Free Comic Book Day)
Around here you can find varying opinions on Free Comic Book Day that range from wild enthusiasm for the event to muttering under the breath “could we call it something other than Free”. There are those who thinks it boosts trade and those who think it’s the only day of the year you see those who shop with competing stores who happen not to ‘do’ FCBD.
(Spiderbat, SpiderBat, does whatever a SpiderBat can. And looks adorable while doing it)
One thing can’t be ignored though and that’s it can be a lot of fun. Here are some snaps from our Birmingham store’s dressing up day. The staff get the chance to show off their outfits to more than just their long suffering partners – and the customers get to dress their kids in all sorts. We especially love Spider-Bat and mini, mini Iron Girl – like Marvel Adventures come to life…. Click the pics to see more FCBD pics from our Nostalgia & Comics crew on the FPI Flickr page; thanks to Dave and his crew at N&C for the pics.
(SuperDad with mini-Vader and even more mini Iron Girly. We always hear that superteams are like families, nice to see it taken literarlly!)
(I swear these superhero sidekicks get younger every year...)
