The National Trust for Scotland has recruited Dennis the Menace (and Gnasher, of course) to interest kids in the nation’s national heritage during the school summer holidays, with the Gnashional Treasure Hunt running from July 1st to October 31st, which sounds like fun and a good way to get the kids into visiting and exploring history, although I notice you have to be members of the NTS for your kids to take part.
