News via Wired that Grant Morrison, everyone’s favourite alien abductee comic writer, is the subject of a documentary/biopic from Sequart, publishers of a couple of recent Grant Morrison books, including last years Grant Morrison: The Early Years. Director Patrick Meaney plans to première the as yet untitled film at San Diego Comic Con International in July 2010.
Now, anyone who’s seen or heard Morrison talk will be aware that he’s a raconteur and certainly has the diverse life experiences to back up the ability to tell great stories; the alien abduction, the hallucinations, meeting Jesus. So a biopic should be absolutely enthralling viewing.

The trailer on the Sequart site looks good, as do the exclusive clips along with the Wired piece. But just one thing – was it really necessary to subtitle Morrison on that trailer? Does Scottish really need subtitles? Oh, please.
