Eagle Award-winning artist Tom Humberstone is having a launch party for How to Date a Girl in Ten Days on Friday 1st of May at Orbital Comics (8 Great Newport Street, London) from 7.30pm, “with music, drink, original artwork in the gallery, and a chance to get your copy signed.”
For those who aren’t in the London area you can get hold of the book via Tom’s site and it will also be on sale at the upcoming Toronto Comics Arts Festival (May 9th to 10th); on that related note, have you seen the guest list for TCAF? As well as Tom and his magnetic presence there’s an incredibly impressive roster of guests both from TCAF’s native Canada and much further afield, including Kate Beaton, Matt Kindt, Anke Feuchtenberger, Emmanuel Guibert, Scott McCloud, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Paul Pope, Adrian Tomine, Seth, Kathryn and Stuart Immonen, Jeff Lemire, Becky Cloonan, Kevin Colden, Dan Goldman, Jamie McKelvie, Nate Powell and… Well, hell, there’s a ton of comics creators of all style and types, check out the site, it looks like it will be brilliant.
