Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Ian Culbard.jpg

Doug Wallace from Self Made Hero has a lovely little follow up to my earlier post about today being the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle – this lovely sketch that Ian Culbard created as a tribute. Ian, of course, is working with the other Ian (Edginton) on a series of ACD’s Sherlock Holmes tales in graphic novel form, with the first, The Hound of the Baskervilles, hitting the shelves this month. Doug tells me both Ians are huge fans of Doyle and given the impressive literary adaptations the publisher’s already made – Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The Master and Margarita, for example, not forgetting their Manga Shakespeare range – I am really looking forward to seeing all of them.
