The one and only Leonard Nimoy is to be honoured for his contributions to the genre with a Lifetime Achievement award at this year’s annual Saturn Awards in June, given out by Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films in June. I once had the pleasure of doing a book signing event where Leonard was reading from his autobiography, I Am Spock, and the sheer range of the audience (which numbered in the hundreds) was staggering, from dads with their little kids (both young and old alike all excited to see him) to men in pinstripe suits from the nearby bank headquarters – it just brought home how iconic he was to several generations, ages, occupations, classes, it just didn’t matter, they were all in awe of seeing the man who brought life to Spock. The power of Trek… Let us celebrate with another side of Leonard and his singing:
