LUC 176

There’s been an uncharacteristic lull between events (and videos) from the London Underground Comics crew recently, but Oli tells us they are back with a new event, 176, which will take place on the 27th of June at the 176 Gallery in Chalk Farm; there’s space for between forty and eighty creators at the tables. As you might expect from the LUC lot the emphasis isn’t just on making and selling comics but on everyone having a fun time (something they seem to excel at): “this event is not just about selling comics, it’s about having a fantastic day out for exhibitors and visitors alike. In the large hall that we have, as well as the twenty exhibitor tables, we also have a large and comfy reading area for you to peruse your purchases or just relax, bring your pens and create works of art at our massive Sketching Table. On top of this we will have three specific ‘activities’ going on throughout the day.. the Animation Screen, DJ Booth and Canvas Corner.” In a nice touch those who wish to exhibit at the tables can get themselves a discount on the rates if they take part in promoting the event (which helps the creators and everyone else, so win-win all round); full details on here.
