Leah Moore and John Reppion will be following their own interpretation of one great British Victorian literary figure, Dracula, with another – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s immortal detective Sherlock Holmes, Dynamite announced at the NYCC at the weekend, with The Trial of Sherlock Holmes. Rumour has it that John has already purchased a new Deerstalker and Inverness Cape and is attempting to convince the tax authorities that they are a legitimate business expense (Leah, I believe, is going for the more elegant top hat and silver-topped cane). It seems appropriate that this is announced in the 150th anniversary year of Conan Doyle’s birth; Aaron Campbell will provide the art while John Cassady will be on cover duty. (thanks to Pádraig Ó Méalóid for the link; on a related note I’m pleased to say that after a brief hospital sojourn Pádraig is feeling better and is home now)
