More new Red Dwarf?

Film, TV and radio

I totally missed hearing about this, but Geektown notes that a new series of Red Dwarf has been confirmed by cast member Robert Llewellyn on his regularly updated Twitter. Looks like the recent return for the Dave Easter Special may have finally jump-started the show, which has had endless false new dawns (a film now certainly starting, no, new series, no we’re doing a film… Dwarfers had to live with unfulfilled promises for years). As with Geektown I’m cautiously happy about this – glad to see the show getting another few episodes (six apparently commissioned, to be shot next year) but unsure if it will be a good thing or a bit of a disappointment and best left alone or not (although on balance of course I’d rather take the risk of seeing some new episodes!).
