Film, TV and radio

Via Whedonesque comes a link to the Visitor  Site and this poster for the reworked new version of the 80s science fiction hit V, a serial which may look pretty cheesy now but which was a huge TV phenomenon back in the day, drawing in a wider TV audience and not just the SF regulars. Be interesting to see what the modern take on this alien invasion tale does and if has similar mainstream appeal. And in case you’re wondering, Whedonesque picked up on it because among the cast is the delectable Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk of Firefly/Serenity, which is another reason to have a look, I think, not to mention Smallville’s Supergirl Laura Vandervoort…

I remember the old V with a mixture of nostalgia and shuddering horror. Started good, then turned into Dallas with Lizards. Still, it did give us the immortal line, “Peel me a goldfish.”
