Comics and cartoons

Has President Obama been given too easy a ride by political cartoonists, the BBC asks ahead of an exhibition of original cartoons of Obama going on show at the Political Cartoon Gallery in London. “It’s as if Bush was the Antichrist and the world’s in such a mess that Obama is seen as an angel… Political cartooning is usually a negative art-form but with Obama there’s a sense of hope,” Gallery curator Doctor Tim Benson. The Beeb also has a brief cartoon slideshow of some of the work going on display; the exhibition runs from today to 13th June.
