PJ Holden has created the cover art for the latest issue of the Judge Dredd Megazine (#281, which should be released shortly and will be available in your local FPI) and over on his blog he’s posted up not only the actual cover but some of the ideas he first sketched out to show the Mighty Tharg for his consideration, as well as explaining the different types of comics covers (one specific to a strip happening in that issue or ’stock’ covers which are more generic and not reliant on a particular episode of a strip being in that issue). A Justice Department spokesperson commented “the use of a Judge’s appearance for commercial purposes is illegal, this PJ Holden punk could be looking at five in a Cube. We took care of that PJ Maybe creep, this PJ better watch his brushes.” However, we understand via Judge Joyce that the Emerald Isle’s Judge system has a more relaxed outlook on such matters and are unlikely to acquiesce to any Mega City requests for extradition, especially after the Kenny Who? incidents in the Big Meg which didn’t give citizens this side of the Black Atlantic a good view of the Meg’s system. (thanks to Justice Department informer Citizen Badham for the link)
