Paulo Patrício, who regularly brings readers across Europe the cool Le Sketch, has started a new website, Quotes on Comics, which pretty much does exactly what it says on the tin: offers up random quotes about or from the comics scene, “some dead serious, others thought- provoking, but all stimulating and thoroughly inspirational.” Paulo has a number of quotes up already and will be adding more regularly, so give it a whirl.
“The graphic purity of the superhero costume means that the more effort and money you lavish on fine textiles, metal grommets, and leather trim the deeper your costume will be sucked into the silliness singularity that swallowed, for example, Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin and their four nipples,” Michael Chabon in the New Yorker, one of the quotes that came up when I clicked for a random line.
