Columnist Roger Friedman has lost his job writing a regular column for the Fox News website in the US after last week’s column included a review of the upcoming Wolverine movie – a review based on an illegal download of the (unreleased) film, which its estimated some 100, 000 other people have downloaded already. Friedman compounded this by joking that he might decide to catch up on more recent films via illegal downloading, probably not the best thing to do in such a public column and it can’t be a surprise that a major media empire would kick him out over it. On the positive side though, he did say that he thought the film was great. (via the BBC)
