According to The Hollywood Reporter Samuel L Jackson, already no stranger to the worlds of comics and SF movies, has signed an unprecedented nine movie deal to play Nick Fury in a slew of Marvel movies, including Thor, Iron Man 2, Captain America and The Avengers (the latter two, as we blogged a few weeks back, look likely to be connected and come out close together), with the chance of headlining a potential S.H.I.E.L.D. flick at some point thrown in for good measure. Its a bit of a turnaround since, as THR notes, it was only pretty recently that the industry scuttlebut was that Marvel were having protacted negotiations to wade through with various cast members, including Jackson.
