Orbital Comics Gallery (8 Great Newport Street, London) has a new exhibition opening this week: Secret Origins, Real Comic Book Heroes with photographs by Steven Cook, which will run from the 17th of September to the 17th of October: “Orbital Comics Gallery will be hosting an exhibition of photographs charting the rise of the key players in what is now a multi-billion dollar industry from their earliest days at legendary publishers such as 2000AD, Deadline and Marvel UK, Cook’s informal reportage photographs and unique portraits feature Neil Gaiman, Jamie Hewlett, Mark Millar, Grant Morrison, Dave Gibbons, Robert Crumb and many other comics luminaries as you’ve never seen them before.”
