Comics and cartoons, General

The first three things I open in my feed reader this evening: all April Fool’s gags, all about Alan Moore;

Heidi had the shock news that, after Padraig’s sensational find of Big Numbers issue 3 last week, the entire series was to be redone, by Kevin Eastman, with Simon Bisley providing the art:

“Simon has the vision and imagination to complete this incredible project,” said Eastman. “More importantly, there’s absolutely no danger that he will go berserk just from working on the project, since that ship sailed long ago.”

Then I flick to the next feed and ComicMix have not one, but two Alan Moore April Fool’s gags: Alan Moore takes ‘Watchmen’ movie money to sue DC for print rights reversion and then this:

    Oh, if only they’d gone for 2012 that would have hooked loads of people. My own favourite of the day was the spoof Watchmen sequel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

    One of the five stories posted on our site yesterday is, in fact, substantially true. We’ll tell you which in less than a month.
