Bloghorn reports that cartoonist Simon Ellinas is launching a new site called Ha!, which is based on the magazine Humorous Arts which had a short run in the 90s
(The Devil, Hitler and the omnipresent and, probably far more powerful than them combined, Tesco in a world domination cartoon from Paul Baker, borrowed from the Ha! blog)
“Bloghorn: Why are you relaunching it on the web? And who is your audience?
Simon: “I’m doing it because I want to. No manifesto other than to make people laugh, or at least smile inwardly. The audience is me. Best reason for any artistic pursuit.””
The site will act as an archive for material from the printed version, on the blog to begin with then, as new, topical material comes in a full site will follow which will be composed “primarily be a review of all humorous arts pinned together by satirical and humorous articles, cartoons and comic strips.”
