Over on Spoonfed Joe Harrod interviews Jimi Gherkin, Richard Cowdry and Peter Lalley about the free Alternative Press Fair which is set for next Sunday (February 1st) at the Saint Aloysius Social Club, Euston, London, where they talk about what to expect at the fair and thoughts on the British comics scene, the influence of 2000 AD and US publications and the ups and downs of the self-published comics world :
“Spoonfed: What kind of reading material do people present at the Fair?
Jimi: Comics range from autobiographical stuff and observational humour to satire and such, zines span horror/skate/punk to vegan recipes via feminist self defence zines. We have film criticism books, radical literature, anarchism pamphlets, alternative lifestyles, and punk… Handmade and Bound will be running a table.… ”
