Forbidden Planet International has teamed up with IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre to offer 44 people a pair of passes to a special screening of Star Trek: The Imax Experience on Saturday 9th May at 0915.
From director J.J. Abrams (of Lost and Cloverfield fame) comes the highly anticipated new vision of the greatest space adventure of all time. The film follows the newly graduated cadets from Starfleet Academy, on their maiden voyage aboard the USS Enterprise to combat the villainous Nero – a Romulan from the future who threatens the United Federation of Planets.
The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals – James Kirk and Mr Spock. As their personalities clash, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing that can lead their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before!
Filmmakers promise that the fans of the existing franchise will not be disappointed with the new visualisation of the film plus it has been designed with a new audience in mind who may not know the background of the existing films and television series-“this is truly Star Trek Zero!”
