Comics and cartoons

Geek Girls Network presents it’s Top 10 Women Comic Characters. Always interesting to see these sorts of things, agree with them or not. Nice to see slightly more unusual choices with the inclusion of Judge Anderson and Jenny Sparks alongside perennials such as Tank Girl and Death.

But I think there are a couple of very obvious ommissions:

LoveAndRockets31 evey-hammond

Above – The wonderful Maggie & Hopey from Love & Rockets by Jaime Hernandez and Alan Moore & David Lloyd’s magnificent Evey Hammond from V For Vendetta. They should surely be on any list of the top 10 women in comics.

And how could they possibly forget Minnie…..

MinnieMinxLeo

(Minnie The Minx by Leo Baxendale)

and I’m sure there’s more that we could think of, but that’s the real fun of these sorts of things – what would you have picked?
