Top science fiction magazine SFX has an ‘exlcusive’ trailer up from the BBC for the upcoming new Torchwood (although I notice its not quite exclusive as the official Torchwood site also has it), which looks pretty good – all the children in the world threatened, shadowy goings-on in the background, action (check out the lovely Eve Myles’ Gwen Cooper leaping out of an ambulance firing two guns in the approved Hong Kong/John Woo action movie tradition!) and, yes, the equally lovely John Barrowman looking heroic and kissing folks (and why not?). It all looks pretty exciting; season 2 was interesting (although it stumbled a few times) and it ended on a seriously heavy note, so I was already pretty interested to see where the depleted Torchwood team went next and this just gets me more excited. This season is departing from the previous ones by having one long story arc over five nights; no news on a transmission date yet though, the official site still says ‘later in 2009′ so we’ll just need to be patient.

Oh I hate when broadcasters do that. No doubt someone will have it on YouTube and similar video sharing sites shortly.
