Joel Meadows of Tripwire magazine brings us the sad news that the forthcoming 2009 annual has not reached Diamond distributor’s minimum order threshold and wont be carried by them in the US. This is a huge blow for Tripwire, which I’ve written about previously as being a rather smart, literate and really well put together magazine (here and here).
It will be carried by Diamond UK, available through their Previews catalogue, which means it should be available in your local comics shop and of course it’s available through the FPI webstore. It’s also available through Borders in the UK. In the US it will only be available through Barnes & Noble bookstores and to those retailers who get in touch with Joel to order it direct.
Tripwire magazine annual 2009 is due in July 2009, priced at £9.95 UK/ $15.95.

Some of the features for this years annual include: Stan Lee on Marvel’s 70th anniversary, a look at the future of Marvel movies, Guillermo Del Toro on his novel The Strain, A look at British low budget sci fi movie Moon with director Duncan Jones, Joe Kubert on returning to Tor after years away, 30th anniversary of Alien feature, interviews with Frank Quitely, Mark Schultz and Gary Gianni, Ian Rankin on Dark Entries, his graphic novel for the new Vertigo Crime line, DC’s Wednesday Comics series, strips from Roger Langridge, Punx, Kevin Mullins and David Hitchcock, the Power List 2009 and much more.
