Richmond Clements, editor of MangaQuake and Dogbreath and co-founder/organiser of the excellent Hi-Ex comics convention in Inverness has a new comic, Turning Tiger, coming out this December with Alex Moore and published by Renegade Arts who brought us the Alan Grant and Shane Oakley Channel Evil recently. There’s a preview available to enjoy on myebook (and I should add Renegade have also got the whole of the first issue of Channel Evil available to read on myebook free here):

On a related note Richmond’s compadre from FutureQuake Press, Dave Evans, tells me they had a good time at BICS recently and had no less than four new publications at the show, with new volumes of FutureQuake, Something Wicked, Dogbreath and Zarjaz, boasting contributions from the likes of PJ Holden, Steven Denton, Chris Geary and others; the 2000 AD themed Dogbreath and Zarjaz also boast a chance to win some goodies from Rebellion; full details on the FQP site.

Rich has also got an alternative cover by Simon Coleby, with Vicky Stonebridge on colours, and has posted it on his blog (although you’ll need to click on it to get the full version).
On FQP it appears Zarjaz sold out in half a day at BICS but I believe Dave should now (or very soon) have his hands on a new print run. I’m looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on it (and not just because I have something in it either ;) ) stories like the Red Dragon one (the Welsh superhero from Zenith) look very nice from the samples I’ve seen. Some of those samples can be found on the FutureQuake Press and Zarjaz/Dogbreath blogs. Oh, and feedback on the 2000AD forums suggests people have had no trouble finding the copies in Forbidden Planet, so people cn pick them up there too.
