Film, TV and radio, News

This is one of the latest Watchmen viral things going around. I have a feeling that we’re going to be seeing a absolute proliferation of these things as time goes on. But this really is pretty cool.

Meanwhile, more and more things are being unlocked on the New Frontiersman website Joe reported on a while back. And we’re currently up to 49 different bits of Watchmen merchandise on the FPI webstore. Obviously the first bit of merchandise you should buy for anyone interested in the movie is Graphic Novel. And possibly the last thing you should buy, certainly the last thing I’d buy is this:

Is it just me? Is there something I’m missing here? Having seen some of the footage it just reminds me of the animations we always get on any TV shows about comics. But it doesn’t add anything to the book. Not even the You Tube clip which mashes up the official version with Alan Moore reading from the book. It all just looks a little silly to my eyes. But I doubt this will end up being the worst bit of merchandise. I’m sure someone will bring out something even dafter. Meanwhile I’ll be re-reading the graphic novel.
