Cliodhna points us to an upcoming comics launch in Dublin for Windell Classic’s Compendium Presents Superhero Showcase, which will take place in the upper floor of the Anseo public house (I suspect drinking may be involved), 18 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2 on May 8th with Gar Shanley and Cathal Duggan.
And while we’re on the subject of events in Dublin, Cliodhna also sends news of the Summer Edition 2009, which is “a Comic, Zine and Artists’ Book Fair happening on Saturday 4th July in Filmbase, Temple Bar, Dublin.” There are tables available for comics artists, ‘zine creators and small press publishers and the like for 20 Euros, with entry to the event free to the public, with the aim of boosting the profile of independently published work; check the site for more details.
