The British International Comics Show (BICS) is gearing up for it’s 3rd annual weekend (- and I shall probably only get the hang of calling it the British show rather than the Birmingham one by the 10th anniversary)at Birmingham’s Millenium Point with more and more events and guests announced over on their website. Bryan Talbot will be launching his new book Grandville at the show, international guests include Pascual Ferry and Howard Chaykin and the UK guests read like a who’s who of comic talent.
There will also be special screenings of Watchmen on the spectacular IMAX screen at Millenium Point throughout the weekend. BICS takes place on October 3rd & 4th. Tickets and further details available from the BICS website.
But before BICS begins, there’s a one off special event at the IMAX cinema at Millenium Point. Watchmen co-creator and artist Dave Gibbons will be the guest of honour at a one off special screening of Watchmen on 18th September. Dave will be introducing the film and answering questions from fans. A great way to lead in to the Birmingham show weekend.

Just to make a slight correction:
Only Watchmen will be screened, not Star Trek or Transformers.
Also, the name of the event is: The British International Comics Show 2009.
cheers

I would love to watch Watchmen with Dave Gibbons… as long as he does live commentary. That would be awesome! But I guess that won’t happen.

Sorry! Changes made!
I’m obviously either an idiot or sleep deprived. Or probably both.
