Yep, that cover does look gross. Now, if was green projectile vomit, that’d be different but it isn’t. THAT’D be funny to most children these days but it’s blood and there’s even blood seeping from Gardner’s eyes, too and while I enjoy 1970s Italian ‘Giallo’s’ and films like Zombie Flesh Eaters, IMHO this cover is pushing it just a bit. Anyone remember the Howard Chaykin Guy Gardner cover from Green Lantern #196? Now THAT was a cover.
