From our continental correspondent – The old country vs. the new

I’m always a bit apprehensive when people talk about Europe as the old world, and the US as the new one.  Still, the general idea of Paris vs. New York, a  visual “tally of two cities”, seems to tag Paris more as mature, traditional and classical than New York.  Which, naturally, has qualities of its own to commend.

This blog is the work of French graphic artist Vahram Muratyan.  He’s been doing this for a few weeks now, and I, along with many others, keep going back to be amazed by the simplicity of the graphics, and the correctness of the observation.  Sometimes clichés are the truths they originate from.

A book version seems to be on its way too.
