At The Planetarium
by Lizz Lunney
What more can I really say about Lizz Lunney’s comics – I’ve already covered them many, many, many times. They’re simply a perfect antidote to feeling down – a wonderful little A5 sized booklet of fun, full of some of the most ridiculously named characters around enagaging in suitably silly ventures.
Her latest; At The Planetarium, underneath a fantastic wraparound cover, contains the following on just the first 4 of its 16 pages : Depressed Cat, Fat Pigeon + Smelly Pigeon, Fashion Bear, Troy The Talking Chair, Holiday Dinosaurs, Human Faced Cat, and Food Dudes.
When just the names sound funny you surely know you’re onto a good thing here. There’s a different strip on every page, often two. And everyone of them is a perfectly funny and silly slice of absurd whimsy.
Lizz’s comics are lovely little things, perfect antidotes for anyone in danger of taking life a little too seriously and available, along with some lovely looking badges, postcards, tote bags, stickers and mirrors (yes, mirrors) from her online shop. Go and buy them now, the sooner they arrive, the sooner you’ll be smiling.
