Metaphrog in March

Glasgow’s Metaphrog are going to be pretty busy during March, being involved in a number of events, starting with the Glow Live Meet tomorrow (March 3rd), “a virtual comic workshop available to view on the Glow network by subscribing schools”, two school visits in Glasgow on March 4th for World Book Day, two workshops for the schools programme as part of Glasgow’s Aye Write books festival on March 8th in the glorious Mitchell Library (the largest public reference library in the land), a talk on graphic novel adaptations for the Scottish Book Trust Online Teachers in Residence scheme on the 10th, two more school events on the 16th (this time in Edinburgh) and a workshop in Carnoustie Library on the 30th and a talk in Forfar Library on the same day. Phew. Especially nice to see the school events – I know like a lot of writes and artists in our comics community John and Sandra do a lot of these sorts of events and as well as a great way to get kids interested in reading and expressing their creative side its hopefully also going to get some of them interesting in exploring more comics.
