I’m delighted to hear that Darryl Cunningham is going to be a guest on BBC Scotland’s fine Radio Café, a show I’ve been fortunate enough to appear on a few times myself. With the print edition of the fascinating Psychiatric Tales drawing close Darryl will be on the show on Wednesday 3rd of March; the show goes out just after the main one o’clock news bulletin, so its normally from 1.15 to 2pm and for those outside of Scotland or who can’t listen live, it should be available online as a stream and also under the Beeb’s very handy listen again feature for several days (what did we do before listen again?).
(a page from Psychiatric Tales where the spotlight is turned from others onto the artist himself, by and (c) Darryl Cunningham, due this spring from Blank Slate Books and 2011 in the US from Bloomsbury)
I should also point out that Darryl will be taking part in the Graphic Medicine conference at the University of London on the 17th of June, which will also include Paul Gravett and Brian Fies among others, discussing the “medical narrative in graphic novels and comics” (full details on the site).
