Bloghorn draws our attention to the upcoming Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival, which this year has a theme of Magic, Myth and Mystery. As well as a number of events there’s also the chance to see some top professional cartoonists and caricaturists at work on giant boards in The Square, plus as part of the exhibitions on display this year there will be work from Greek and Australian cartoonists. The official site notes that the Shrewsbury festival’s cartoon art exhibition is ‘a selling exhibition’ so there’s also the chance to try and pick up some original work by some respected UK cartoonists. The Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival runs from the 22nd to the 25th of April; check the site for details.
