Comics and cartoons

Joel Meadows sent us the latest PR for the new issue of Tripwire magazine recently. Haven’t seen the issue yet, but the smart money says it’s going to be every bit as well produced and enjoyable as previous issues have been (here, here and here for reviews). The issue’s available at the end of July.

As is usual, Tripwire spreads its coverage liberally through the pop culture arts of comics, books, film and TV.

Obviously there’s Futurama stuff, and a chat with Matt Groening and David X Cohen plus a look at the works of Jim Henson and the Henson Company. Dave McKean gets an interview and J. Michael Straczynski and Paul Cornell talk Superman, Mark Schultz on the return of Xenozoic Tales (oh, yes please).

And there’s more, much more from the world of books and films, plus the usual round of strips, features and news.

Tripwire #54 is out at the end of July.
