Nat Gertler has come up with an interesting way to help out a little around the ongoing legal tussle between Marvel and the heirs of the great Jack Kirby – rather than advocating one position or the other, or a boycott or anything of that nature Nat has set up the A Buck For Jack site. Basically when you see and enjoy a movie that is based on some of the work of Kirby you donate a pound to the Jack Kirby Museum fund – quite a nice, constructive idea, regardless of where you stand on the whole it-was-work-for-hire versus creator’s latent rights over successful creations that go on to make a lot of money for a company but not the creator.
