More of that art from around the Internet ….
From The Ghibli Blog: “I dug around the pages of Hayao Miyazaki Image Boards, his 1983 art book, and decided to pull out this little gem. This watercolor illustration is probably the iconic image from the 1980 Mononoke.” (Link via Eric Orchard)
Just like Bleeding Cool, we’re all hopeful here that this cover from Marvel’s July solicitations is merely the start of Roger Langridge‘s brilliant Muppet comics appearing again now that Boom no longer hold the license.
That’s a great mash up of Scooby Doo and Dan Clowes, playing off the cover of the Ghost World Special Edition Hardback. From the Fantagraphics blog: “A ”mush-up” by Beasts! artist Mr. Ed. Also don’t miss his Wilson-as-House.”
Rob Moran gives us a rendition of Hugo Pratt’s Corto Maltese – from his Facebook page.
Warren Ellis is running a feature called 3 panels, and here’s one gorgeous one from artist Paul Sizer.
And then there’s this, from The Moment Of Morrison Tumblr, a panel by Chas Truog from Animal 19. I read Animal Man about every year, I still love it, still love the way Morrison takes me through every incredible scenario, every great moment, all epitomised by this one panel. And the ending – oh my, it can still bring forth a tear. The story is part of this collection. Buy it now.
