Comic art on the Internet…. what did we do without it again (the Internet, not comics… I mean, can you really imagine a world without comics? Really? How strange.)

Paul Harrison-Davis on Luke Pearson’s Hilda:

And two Marvel pieces grabbed from Grantbridge Street: Kevin Nowlan Doctor Strange:

… and P. Craig Russell’s always gorgeous lines on a Killraven:

Grant Morrison! Grant Morrison! Grant Morrison! by Daniel Irizarri: “The All-Thought”. Done for this week’s The Line: it is Drawn, in which we ‘superfied’ people, celebrities, or comic book characters that are not already superheroes. Sadly I’m not working on a book with Morrison about his mentally-powered exploits as a superhero, but one can dream, no?”

And whilst on TT&SPA, here’s a great Scott Pilgrim a la Shultz by John Paul Cassidy:

Shaky Kane does a little Tharg Surfer, owned by Steve Cook – “I’m the very proud owner of this great tribute to Jack Kirby by Shaky Kane, featuring Tharg the Mighty as The Silver Surfer. Shaky gave this to me earlier in the year and it now hangs magnificently on my studio wall. This was originally commissioned for 2000 AD at the time of Kirby’s death and in print, it was accompanied by this caption; In Memorium. Jack ‘King’ Kirby. 28 Aug 1917 – 6 Feb 1994. The Father of Comic Art, he taught three generations how to draw.”

Great Andy Fanton Dr Who T-Shirt available from Red Bubble:

Okay, sort of comics only, but this is lovely. Just imagine driving home to this every day of the Festive Season? Huge smile on your face every single day! From Buzzfeed:

Going forward, it would be nice to see more “local hero” characters created.
