Comics and cartoons

(Cosmos and Sagan in Kirby style by and (c) Kyle Latino)

As regular readers know, as well as being a comics and SF geek I’m also a lifelong space geek. And one of the formative influences on me as a kid was the fabulous science series Cosmos by the late and much missed Carl Sagan. It was educational, it was informative, it was accessible and inspirational and Sagan tapped into that quality that some of the best science fiction gives me, the sheer sense of wonder (and how poor life would be without that sense of wonder). Kyle Latino has been re-watching Cosmos recently and had the desire to combine his love of the show with another inspirational figure, one who brought out the Cosmic in us, and he combined it with the Cosmos. Jack Kirby and Carl Sagan. This pleases my inner geek on so many levels and makes me smile.
