Books, Conventions and events

Tomorrow night Viktor Wynd’s Little Shop of Horrors/The Last Tuesday Society (11 Mare Street, E8) hosts SJ Chambers, co-author (with Jeff VanderMeer) of the very fine new Steampunk Bible (which I highly recommend, it has fascinating sections on the fiction, makers and crafters, comics, style and more) as part of a talk , with further contributions from Jema Hewitt (Steampunk Emporium) and Sydney Padua (Lovelace & Babbage), along with a special performance by Victorian monster hunter Major Jack Union as a part of the Hendrick’s Lecture Series. Vadim Kosmos also tells us that “a tour of our marvelous & macabre Wunderkabinett is included in the ticket price.” The doors open at 6 and the event takes place at 7pm on Tuesday 6th September.
