The Stool Pigeon is a regular, completely free music paper with a great comic section. We’ve looked at it several times here at the FPI blog and it’s very pleasing to hear that there will be an exhibition of Stool Pigeon artwork in the gallery space at Orbital London.
The exhibition will feature artwork from the six year history of the paper – full page comics, cartoons, gag strips, original artwork and sketches. It will feature all the artists regularly on show in the pages of The Stool Pigeon - Krent Able, Paul O’Connell and Lawrence Elwick (Charlie Parker ‘Handyman’), Martin Kellerman (Rocky), Richard Cowdry (Down Town), Luke Pearson, Moochowski, Babak Ganjei (Hilarious Consequences), Dave The Chimp, Mickey Gibbons and others.
As you would expect, a gallery exhibition has to have a launch party, and this is no exception – 7:30pm Fri August 19, open to all Stool Pigeon readers. Live music from Babak Ganjei, free drinks, signings with the artists and DJ sets from No Pain In Pop, The Stool Pigeon and Krent Able.
And the latest issue of The Stool Pigeon, with Justin Timberlake like you’ve never seen him before by Krent Able, is out now…
