Published to benefit both The Hero Initiative and The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund the Transmetropolitan Art Book will be released later this year in a very limited hardcover. Warren Ellis is doing the introduction, Darick Robertson is doing the cover and there’s a lot of great artists involved. Bits and bobs of this art have been cropping up over the last few weeks and here are just a couple to whet your whistle:

There’s a huge contributor list, but highlights include: Jim Calafiore, Cliff Chiang, Katie Cook, Molly Crabapple, Gary Erskine, Simon Fraser, Cully Hamner, Matt Howarth, Sam Kieth, Clint Langley, Milo Manara, John McCrea, Moritat, Dean Motter,
It reached it’s Kickstarter target a while back – in the end it made over $46k and they only needed $26k for their print run. The huge total just means more books in the print run. Definitely one to get we think.
