Avgousta Zourelidi‘s short animated film Laika is an utterly charming and quite lovely take on that pioneering cosmonaut canine who soared beyond the atmosphere for Soviet Russia right at heroic dawn of the Space Race, and if it takes a little artistic license with the real history I have to say this space geek doesn’t mind, because it’s very sweet and made me smile – lovely work:
