Cool Trek art

Des Taylor draws some very cool, stylish versions of the original Star Trek series – these look like stills from a nifty animation. (via Live for Film)

And I love his Rocketeer piece, designed to look “like a retro TV episode” as he describes it, although personally I thought it looked more like TV’s precursor, the grand 1930s serial film – every week a cliffhanger! – which would be most appropriate since that’s exactly the sort of work Rocketeer celebrates.

There’s a ton of other lovely comics and science fiction themed art (often with a fun, perky cheesecake element to them) on his site, go and have a browse.
