Our friends at the Institue Francais in London dropped us a line to let us know about the upcoming South Ken Kid’s Festival, which runs from the 21st to the 25th of November. The events this year include a very special evening on Friday 23rd at the IF (17 Queensberry Place) which will see two giants brought together for a Drawing Duo: Joann Sfar and Quentin Blake. Either of those two creators would be worth going well out of your way to see, but putting the two of them together? Oh yes, that would be a blast! The festival isn’t specifically comics, but there are some comics folk there such as Sfar and Emile Bravo, while there are some cracking and much loved illustrators on the guest list, including the great Axel Scheffler (the wonderful Gruffalo) and Tony Ross among many others.
