Premorpheus has scanned in Gods & Tulips, a special put out via Westhampton House in 1999 for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (in a nice move the blog suggests if you enjoy reading the scans you should consider making a donation to the CBLDF), featuring a front cover by Michael Wm Kaluta (above), rear cover by Chris Shadoian (below) and some interior sketches by Chester Brown. Oh, and a whole lot of text by some then up and coming chap called Neil Gaiman (whatever happened to him?) on the good dos and dont’s of arranging author signing sessions and promoting books and comics. Seriously though, given the amount of author readings and signings Neil has clocked up he’s got a pretty good insight into them, an on a personal note I have to say any time I was lucky enough to do an author event with him he was always a delight and worked patiently away in the face of huge queues of eager readers waiting their turn to get a book or comic signed – even back in the mid 90s the lines were long – resulting in a tired but satisfied author and some exceedingly happy readers. (tip of the hat to Mo Ali for the heads-up)
